May Special Election:  May 7, 2024
Proposals for Comstock Park Public Schools and Kenowa Hills Public Schools are on the ballot for Precincts 1,2,3,4 and 6 only.  

Alpine Township Office will be open on Saturday, May 4th from 9am-5pm for absentee voting and voter registrations.

Repair work and Permits
To ensure your property is restored safely and legally please make sure:
You hire licensed and insurance contractors.
You receive a written quote for costs of repairs.
Your contractor has references and does not ask for the cost of the project up front.
Your contractor displays your permits at the address where the work is being done.

Alpine Township is under the jurisdiction of the State of Michigan Building Codes and must adhere to those laws and construction rules.  
2024 Road Construction
The 2024 road construction season will include the following (timing unknown):
Kittery Dr., Bingham Ct. and Bowdoin Pines Dr. will be milled & filled.  New water main also
Walker Ave. (7 to 8 Mile) chipseal
9 Mile Rd. (Fruit Ridge to Peach Ridge) chipseal
Stage Ave. (6 Mile to Kenowa) chip seal
Hayes St. (County line to Stage) chipseal
Westgate Neighborhood Watermain Replacement
Watermains will be replaced on Kittery Dr., Bowdoin Pines Dr., and Bingham Ct. starting March 12th.   Construction associated with watermain resplacement is anticipated to last until the end of May.  After the watermain project is complete, the roads will be repaved.  
Spring Leaf Pick-Up Dates
Curbside by 6am on both dates
Wednesday April 17, 2024, and Wednesday May 1, 2024.
Tags can be purchased at the township office M-F 8am-5pm.  They are $1 each or 11 for $10.  
Bundles or biodegradable bags with Alpine Township tags.  48" long x 20" diameter.  Max weight 65#
Candidate Filings Due by April 23 at 4 PM
Have you ever thought of running for a position on the Township Board? If you're running under a political party, the deadline to file with the Township Clerk is Tuesday, April 23 at 4 PM. Stop by our front desk to pick up the packet of information and required paperwork.
Notice of Public Hearing on April 15, 2024
The Alpine Township Board of Trustees will hold a public hearing on Monday, April 15, 2024 at 7:00 PM at the Township Hall for the purpose of hearing interested persons concerning the establishment of a proposed Industrial Development District for Great Lakes Label, LLC.

Traffic Safety Reporting Tool

Have you experienced a “near-miss” incident or observed repeated traffic safety issues at a certain location? Alpine Twp. Fire Dept. Strategic Plan
A brief summary of the Comprehensive Alpine Twp. Fire Department Strategic Plan can be accessed by clicking here. The full document can be accessed by clicking here. The plan, completed in 2018 by McGraw Consulting Group, analyses the current staffing, education, EMS operations, apparatus, stations and  budget.   It then makes recommendations on all of those same items for the future.
Attractions
Alpine Township has its own share of attractions, most notably its numerous Farm Markets. The most notable restaurant is Amore Trattoria Italiana, winner of numerous culinary awards over the past few years.

 Perrin Brewery and Taproom is another award winning facility in the Township. Fricano's Pizza once again has been voted best pizza in Michigan and attracts customers from all over.
