Welcome to Alpine Township

Located just four miles north of downtown Grand Rapids, Alpine Township is still primarily a rural community. Perhaps that explains the warmth and friendliness that extends all the way to the Township Hall. Blending in with our agriculture is just the right amount of residential, commercial and industrial development. Thank you for visiting us. If you have any unanswered questions, please email us, call us at 616-784-1262, or stop by. Office hours are Monday - Friday 8:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M. Our staff will be happy to assist you.

Alpine Township will hold a Primary Election on August 2, 2016 and a General Election on November 8, 2016 for the positions of Supervisor, Clerk, Treasurer, and four Trustees. The Supervisor, Clerk, and Treasurer are full time positions. Job descriptions and statutory duties for each position are available at the Township Office. Terms of office are four years beginning on November 20, 2016.
Candidates for office must be registered voters of Alpine Township. Anyone interested in the elective offices noted above can obtain a candidate filing packet and information from the Clerk at the Township Offices during regular business hours.
The deadline for filing a nominating petition is by 4:00 P.M. on TUESDAY, APRIL 19, 2016 at the Township Offices.
The Alpine Township Offices (784-1262) are located at 5255 Alpine Avenue N.W., Comstock Park, 49321 and open from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Monday thru Friday.
